Dalmatian Breed Facts
This stunning breed, displaying a pure white coat with distinctive spots in either black or liver (brown), is thought to have initially originated in the country of Croatia. The Dalmatian is generally an active dog, requiring a fair amount of exercise and mental stimulation to prevent it from developing boredom. Dalmatians were historically used as status symbols during the Regency period thanks to their ability to trot alongside horse-drawn carriages.
